Cable cabinets
Climate-smart cable cabinets
GARO’s cable distribution cabinets are designed for professional installations and are used for the safe and demanding distribution of power, lighting, and e-mobility solutions. At GARO, we have been assembling and equipping cable cabinets for many years. At the same time, we have continuously explored ways to make the cabinet itself more environmentally friendly and user-friendly. We are therefore proud to present our own range of cable distribution cabinets, manufactured from the more sustainable and premium material Magnelis®.
GARO cable distribution cabinets are yet another example of how our extensive experience, deep expertise, and strong commitment to innovation have resulted in a future-proof GARO product. Carefully developed to meet the market’s and installers’ demand for an environmentally conscious, highly durable, and user-friendly cabinet solution for demanding applications.
Magnelis® – for the environment
All aspects of sustainability are important to us. This is why we are proud to be the first to market with a cable cabinet with a housing made from Magnelis®, a metallic coated steel. This material gives our cabinets far superior self-healing properties and stronger corrosion resistance in demanding or highly alkaline environments, when compared to the equivalent hot-dip galvanised coatings. This means that our cable cabinet can handle harsh climates at all latitudes and all weathers.
Magnelis® is an excellent choice for the environment since its production entails as much as an 80% reduction in harmful emissions compared to other equivalent materials. Moreover, Magnelis® is the only magnesium coating that RISE has approved for the highest corrosion protection category, C5. Naturally, we have also ensured that our cable cabinet has the highest impact resistance rating, IK10, to curb any vandalism.
Wall-mounted indoor cabinet
Naturally, we also build cable cabinets designed for indoor installations. When installed in protected environments, that is, categories C1 and C2, we use a cabinet with a hot-dip galvanised coating finished in white or textured paint to blend in. The design is a little more compact and the cabinets are mounted on the wall or a stand to place them at an ergonomically advantageous height. The split side panel better facilitates incoming service cables. In some exposed indoor environments, we recommend a wall-mounted cable cabinet made from Magnelis® .
